Here traces of Buddhism in North Sumatra province, located in Padang Lawas District, about 400 km from the city of Medan. Bahal temple called biaro by the community is the largest temple complex in the province of North Sumatra, because of its area surrounding the temple complex of Bahal I, Bahal Bahal II and III.
